Let The Era of Throwback Docking Stations Begin

For all of you who days haven’t been so “happy” since Arnold’s Drive-In, today is a momentous occassion for you too can now re-live the 50’s in 2007 style with the iPod jukebox. Electronics firm Forge Europa and Sound Leisure have come together to design and produce the first ever iPod Jukebox. According to reports, the coolest part of the the iPod jukebox is the fact that special LED lighting has been used in replace of the old school light tubes, allow the jukebox owners to customize the color schemes to match the room or their mood.

The iPod jukebox, which is already in production, will set you back a cool $10,000 (when you include the cost to ship from England), but hey, it is a small price to pay to dance to “digital” oldies, right?

Named the iGrill, George Foreman has released an outdoor version of his world-famous George Foreman Grill complete with built-in speakers, amplifier, and an iPod dock - perfect for any outdoor BBQ. The iGrill features Indoor/Outdoor Electric grill/roasting capabilities, with a 200 SQ. Inch cooking surface, adjustable temperature control, and a 10 Watt amp. At a list price of only $149.99, it is definitely cheaper than most backyard grills, and with the iPod and speaker/amp integration, it makes this the “must have” grill for this summer.

Ok, so maybe ‘paparazzism’ is not a word, but then again, who cares. Britney Spears, a once beloved hottie turned white trash mom, is taking another stab at sarcasm, giving away a signed iPod and 15 minutes of fame to the fan that submits the best paparazziesque photo. According to Brit,

Griffin Technology has recently released a dock adapter for the 2GB iPod Shuffle. The Giffin Technology dock adapter for the 2GB iPod Shuffle is shaped just like the dock connector on the bottom of every full-size iPod. Plug it into your iPod shuffle’s headphone jack, and suddenly the little guy fits in your iPod speakers just like the big guys. Very helpful for those of you who have shuffles and want to use non-shuffle devices.

The Griffin iPod Shuffle Dock Adapter has a retail price of $19.99 and is available as a pre-order item only. There is no word on when it will be released.

Wi-Fi iPod Would Give the iPod the One Feature it is Missing

According to DigiTimes, Apple is planning to release a Wi-Fi enabled iPod this year. The news, which is based on statements made by Universal Scientific Industrial (USI), who will produce the Wi-Fi modules, and Foxcomm, who will perform as the OEM system assembler, comes at an ideal time for Apple and iPod lovers, as the threat of the Wi-Fi enabled Microsoft Zune grows larger.
